micro stock photography resources

Your job as a micro stock photographer starts way before you make the first shutter release and end after you tear your setup down. You will need to select a camera, find a subject to photograph, create the setup, adjust lighting, take the pictures, tear your setup down, sign model release forms, edit your images, do some noise reduction, select keywords, and finally submit to your favorite micro stock image agency or site.

I have tried to gather up a list of tutorials, guides and resources for the beginner (or experienced) micro stock photographer, with the hope that the resources here will help you to sell more images:

Micro stock and model release forms

All the micro stock sites demand that you will present a model release form when you upload an image with a person in it. Even if that person is yourself, you will have to sign a model release form yourself and send it along with your picture. Under the micro stock model release forms library , you will fund all the release forms you will ever need.

Micro stock sites offer to help

Some of the best guides are located on the micro stock sites them selfs. iStockphoto, for example has a great articles section. Lucky Oliver's Guides Section is also great if you want to improve your stock images quality.
