What is micro stock photography (and what is a micro stock image)
Here is the what WIKI has to say about micro stock images
Microstock photography or Micro Stock Photography is an offshoot of traditional (macro) stock photography. What defines a company as a microstock photography company is that they (1) source their images almost exclusively via the Internet, (2) do so from a wider range of photographers than the traditional stock agencies (including a willingness to accept images from "amateurs" and hobbyists), and (3) sell their images at a very low rate (anywhere from $.20 - $10) for a royalty-free image.
What equipment do I need to start with?

What Does "Royalty-Free" image mean?
Generally speaking, there are two type of stock licensing - Royalty-Free and Rights-Managed. A Rights-Managed License picture needs a specific license stating the use of that image (i.e. audience, surrounding material, etc.). A Royalty-Free image is licensed for unlimited use of the image in any media defined in the licensing terms. (here is shutterstock's explanation)
How much can I earn by selling micro stock images?
Allot - it is a simple equation - you can get up to a dollar an image. assuming you have a couple of hundreds of good images in each micro photography site, you can sett a couple of hundreds images a month - remember, you can sell each image multiple times. So the answer to this question depends on how many good images you uploaded, and how many micro stock agencies are selling your images. Pushed against the wall I can say that hundreds of dollars a month is reasonable, if you put a real effort into this.
What is the best way for me to get my money from the micro stock site?
Micro stock image sites usually use electronic means of transferring the money to the photographer. Paypal is very popular but MoneyBookers is also used and some of the micro stock agencies will eevn send a check to your house.
